McAlpine Virtus Project International was honoured in 1994 by the United Nations "as a model global program for all cultures".The Virtues Project™ began in 1991 it has been used to awaken inner strengths of character in families and individuals in Canada and around the world. Its strategies help us to remember who we really are, and to bring forward the virtues that already exist within us. The concepts of the Project have been used by educators in primary and secondary schools in the Ottawa/ Gatineau areas and by parents with their children. The Vancouver School Board has adopted it.
